New in the Store! and technical question.

Journal Entry: Tue Mar 20, 2018, 2:27 PM
Hi Everyone.

I've zipped up two short series for purchase.  These were both at Templar's Action Comics before we lost our Credit processor.  So I finally got my Butt in gear and posted them here.  Anyway.  our offering today is a Secret Agent Double Feature.  Fatal injection,  Where Dr Lori Singer (Part of Tammy's Support staff) injects an intruder with a deadly nerve Toxin.  And Silent Kill, Tammy Woo is after her next target who is getting ready to take a bath.  6 pictures for each series for a total of 12 High quality 3d renders.  Only $2.00/200 points

And lets not forget an earlier series I posted up a couple of years Back.  Tammy Woo in Spy Story.  She stalks an opponent through an underground chamber.  12 pictures for $5.00/500points

And a little Bondage piece I posted for $1,00/100 points

Images should all be 1257 x 2500,  Though some variation may be possible depending on what size screen I was working on when the pictures were rendered.

Anyway.  This is a win/win situation.  Usually any money I make from these little sales, goes right to PayPal then back to purchase more models.  So the more I sell the more I can do in new series.

Now the technical question:  Anyone know how big these .zip files can be before you run into problems?  I have some series as big as 50 pictures or so I may post.  But I'm not sure if it would be better to break them up into smaller parts or post them as a single zip.

Thanks
Dale

Finally some good news!

Sat Mar 3, 2018, 10:43 AM
Hi everybody,

Well, Good news finally, on the computer.  I've re-installed all my Daz files.  Took more than 3 weeks to download and reinstall Something over 3000 models.  And best yet, I had my old HD taken out of the old computer and put in its own case.  I can boot from that and have access to all the legacy characters, and series that were already in the works.  The only downside is having to change startup disks if I want to work on legacy stuff.  The built in HD works much faster than the external.  So I'd prefer to stay on that. But legacy stuff won't load using that.

Oh well.  Mostly good news anyway.  Over time, I'm going to want to finish up all the work on the old HD that I can, and port as many legacy characters on to the new HD.  Then they can play with Daz's Genesis models.  Most new work I'll start using the New HD.

New Computer!

Journal Entry: Sat Feb 10, 2018, 1:33 AM
Hi all,

Bought a new computer about a week ago.  I'm in the process of setting up everything.  Need to download and re-instal a huge amount of 3d files and some more mundane stuff, Like updating printer/scanner software, other similar stuff.

Hopefully, once thats done all the older series will work.  Otherwise we start from scratch in a brave new era of 3d art.  This will fix the problems I've had using Genesis figures.  So I'll have a whole bunch of new characters and sets to use.  Then if I can just figure out how to effectively use Iray.

Computer go BOOM!

Hi All,

This morning when I turned my computer on.  The monitor stayed black.  I think its the Graphics card, which has already been repaired a couple of times.  Anyway.  So time to bite the bullet.  I found a refurbished one on the apple website that should fit my needs.  Its still pretty expensive. But there was no point in waiting.  Lightning fast delivery time.  Should be here tomorrow by 8 PM if there not screwing with me.  I didn't pay extra for overnight delivery either.

Well new computer = good news.  Now for the bad news, or perhaps bad news.  I'll do a data transfer directly from the old computer.  I was able to make contact with the old computer using the bluetooth on my laptop.  So I know its just the screen thats dead.  But I won't know if any of my incomplete series have survived until after I do the transfer and test them.  So ross your finger people.  Might have to start over from scratch if things go horribly wrong.

Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas to those of you that celebrate it.  And Happy Holidays to the rest of you!

New years coming on fast.  Hopefully things will be a little more creative in the coming year.  Hoping to get a new computer sometime after the first of the year.  No set timeline on that yet though.

Surprising results on the last poll.  No ones ever really commented in posts about the idea of the looser being a slave to the winner.  But that clearly blew most of the other categories out of the water.

Have a good day regardless of your belief

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Journal Entry: Sat Oct 28, 2017, 10:16 PM
Well Halloween is almost here.  I've done a few posts re-working older art on that subject.  Otherwise I'm still in the artistic doldrums.  I've piddled around with a few things.  But haven't progressed far enough to post anything significant.  Some of this is just being busy around the house.  The unseasonably warm weather has given me extra time to work outside.  Which mostly means my artistic endeavors have been limited to slapping stain on the outside of my cabin

I've also found that social media is a big drain on my available time.  I recently had a need to join Facebook.  Something I had tried to avoid in the past.  And probably should have avoided.  That quagmire of political and religious posts has a few redeeming qualities.  I've found some Facebook groups and pages having to do with art subjects or Science Fiction subjects.  But boy do they take a lot of time

I did post a few new links at the top of the catfight video section of my front page here at deviant.  These are mostly mainstream movie fights.  A couple fro  Mission Impossible, Fast and Furious, The Mummy, and Scorpion King movies.  Some of you may find enjoyable.  And on that subject.  If anyone knows of other links to good catfight material.  Please let me know, and I may add them to my collection.  I would prefer no links to professional wrestling, or Online producers of catfight material.  Mainly thinking theatrical type stuff.  Movies, stage, Tv. or amateur productions.

As winter approaches there is hope that I'll get back into my own groove and get some new art produced.  The unseasonably warm weather is finally giving up a bit.  And as it gets colder I have more time to stare at my blank computer screen in Daz Studio.

And I imagine some of you have guessed.  The computer had to go back to the shop.  Which is why there haven't been any recent updates.  Hope to have it back before the end of this week.

Not quite right yet

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 16, 2017, 5:02 PM
Hi all,

As stated before.  Computer is back.  But there are some issues still.  Das suddenly refuses to not find my smart content.  No idea why.  It gives me a warning that it can't connect to some Database.

The other problem.  Is the computer refuses to shut down and stay shut down.  After I shut it down.  It suddenly turns itself back on.  Had to pull the plug to keep it off.

But I can do some renders now.  So I'll try and get a little done while I decide what to do about the other problems.

Computer fixed!

Journal Entry: Tue Jun 13, 2017, 2:11 PM
Hi All,

Computer is fixed!.  But not home yet.  Probably I'll have time to pick it up Thursday or Friday.  So with a little luck I might have some new art out on the weekend for the more popular series.

Developments and lack thereof

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 9, 2017, 7:57 PM

Hi all.

Still awaiting the return of my big computer.  Going on 3 weeks since it failed on me, and at the shop for about two.  If I get really lucky, I might hear from them tomorrow.  But I'm thinking maybe the beginning of the week is more likely.  I'd really like to get back into working on the art I've been doing on the big computer.  But for now, I'm still stuck using the laptop.  I'm getting better at using this thing for renders.  But its basically just busy work.

Ive been watching the polling for "The Challenge"  Very close still, and I see that Ivy has pulled ahead of Analon for the first time in about a week.  When I get the big computer back.  I may try and wrap up that match.  Though I'm still considering my options as to how to do that.

Just a quick update for those of you wondering what the heck is going on.

Grinding to a halt update 3

Journal Entry: Fri May 26, 2017, 4:58 PM

Looks like video card needs to be repaired.  Not super expensive.  But they need to send it out for the work.  Probably won't have the computer back till late next week, at the earliest.  Pretty much sucks, I'm on vacation this coming week, and thought I'd be able to move some of these stories along.  Still may do something on the laptop.  But it won't be related to anything already started.  Need the big computer for that.

Grinding to a halt update 2

Journal Entry: Tue May 23, 2017, 2:48 PM
Well, the matter is now in the hands of the High priests of technology.  They've promised to sacrifice many goats, (and charge me for them I'm sure) tho the Techno gods in the hopes of resurrecting my computer from the scrapheap..

Probably be at least next week before I have it back.  In the mean time.  I may get so bored that I decide to work on something new on my laptop.  Unfortunately, I can't work on anything that you all want to see completed, So it will be something new and completely original.

Stand by for more developments.

Grinding to a halt update

Journal Entry: Mon May 22, 2017, 12:14 PM
Not looking good.  Still need to get the computer to the shop.  Perhaps tomorrow.  But my laptop is set up to do 3d as well.  I just don't like using it.  Anyway.  I tried transferring a scene file to the laptop and did a test render.  Total garbage.  So in a worse case scenario, the need to get a new computer.  All the files on the old computer may not work on it.  Which would mean loosing the ability to work on any series that still needs to be completed.  HomeMovies, The challenge, all of it may be gone

Even fixing the old computer is just a temporary solution.  It might allow me to finish current series.  But at some time its going to be replaced and I might be in the same dire straights.  I have a question into Daz forums on the problem.  We'll see if they have any ideas on how to make these files work on my laptop.

Cross your fingers

Grinding to a halt

Journal Entry: Sun May 21, 2017, 3:18 PM
Hi Everyone,

Bad news I'm afraid.  After shutting down my computer and restarting it this afternoon.  The screen stayed black during start up.  I hear the startup chimes, and everything seems to be working otherwise.  I can even access files from the computer using my laptop.  But I can't get the screen to come on, so I can't work on anything.

If anyone has any trouble shooting suggestions for an iMac that seems to be running, except for the screen feel free to make them.  I already tried zapping the pram with no luck.  Still looking online for answers, but the only page I've found so far suggests it needs a logic board replacement.  Did one of those about 2 summers ago.  I was toying around with the idea of replacing this unit sometime early next year.  But I need this one running till that happens.

In the meantime.  It is possible I can work on my laptop.  To do art that is.  But once the big computer goes into the shop.  I won't have access to the files on the current series that I'm working on.  I could start new stuff on my laptop.  But I honestly hate working on art on the laptop.  the screen being much smaller really makes it more difficult, plus there are memory limitations.

Well, I guess that covers the bad news.  Likely if the computer goes into the shop.  It will be there most of the week at least.  I'll still be able to keep in touch and keep an eye on things with the laptop of course, but not much else,

The consequences of restrictions

Journal Entry: Tue May 2, 2017, 8:04 AM
Hi All,

I do like deviants gallery.  But I'm starting to wonder if its effecting my creativity.  Since joining Deviant.  I've had 2 pictures pulled by management.  Both torture related.  (and disclaimer:  Real torture, in the real world is far different than a fantasy picture, and therefore not to be tolerated.  Why am I interested in the fantasy element.  No idea whatsoever.  I just am)  Anyway, as I was saying.  Two pictures were pulled.  The first one was because it showed a dildo in the picture, which is against Deviant rules.  The other was electro torture.  And one end of the cable was clipped to the victims nether regions.  The nether region part was what got it pulled.  In more recent times.  There seems to be artists getting away with a lot more explicit art.  Though Deviant does sometimes shut them down.  I'm honestly not sure whats allowed at deviant anymore  I used to submit most of my art to Sexy amazons first.  Over there they have very few restrictions.  So whatever popped into my head went onto the screen and into the gallery.  Just can't do it that way over here at deviant.  So my more extreme ideas usually don't get made into a picture.

This brings us to the "SS babe buys it" series.  Theres been an interest in Tammy taking her defeated SS trooper back and torturing her for info and fun.  But Deviants restrictions, make it risky to go at this with absolute freedom.  For the record.  I don't usually get too bloody or into too much gore on these things.  But using whips, electro torture, sexual torture, and chemicals are a possibility.  So far I have built a rather kick ass interrogation room.  The question is how best to use it, and where to post it.

I'm sort of just rambling there.  But the whole question about whether Deviant effects the type of series i do is a real question.

Back to the "SS girls buys it" series.  For those of you interested.  Giselle now has been choked out (maybe killed)  And for those of you interested in that type of ending.  I hope you liked it.  For those of you wanting more.  Perhaps she's still alive and Tammy will take her to her lair for a more thorough debriefing.
